3) How long does a hardwood floor installation take?

Most installations take 1–3 days depending on the size, subfloor condition, and material. We’ll confirm the timeline after the site check.

4) How long does refinishing take?

Refinishing usually takes 1–3 days, plus drying/curing time depending on the finish used. We’ll recommend the best option for your schedule.

5) Do we need to leave the house during refinishing?

Not always, but some clients prefer it due to odor and noise. We’ll explain what to expect and help you plan around it.

6) Can you match my existing floor color?

We can usually get very close by testing stain samples on your floor. Exact matches depend on wood species, age, and lighting, so we always sample first.

7) Do you move furniture before starting work?

We can advise what needs to be moved and what can stay. For best results, we recommend clearing the area before we begin (we’ll guide you).

8) Can you repair a few damaged boards instead of replacing everything?

Yes, in many cases. We can replace damaged boards and blend the repair so it matches as closely as possible.

9) What’s better: solid hardwood or engineered hardwood?

Solid hardwood is great for long-term refinishing potential. Engineered hardwood is more stable for certain conditions. We’ll recommend based on your home and budget.

10) Do you work on stairs and trim/molding too?

Yes. We can handle stair treads/risers and install or replace molding and trim for clean finishing details.
